Kirra Galleries opened in 1997 and for more than a decade now, have focused on building the finest commercial exhibition galleries focussing on glass, sculpture and jewellery artworks in Australia. They now have an established reputation as leaders in the Australian Contemporary Art Glass Movement.
Kirra Galleries hold a number of exhibitions each year highlighting the incredible diversity of Australian art glass as well as works by artists working in a variety of different media.
Our 11th Flame on Glass exhibition was opened by the CEO of Fed Square, Kate Brennan on Thursday 15 August 2013 and over the following weekend hundreds of visitors to our Gallery and to Fed Square were able to witness a number of the artists demonstrating their skills at the front of the gallery.
We would like to thank all the artists who participated in the exhibition and especially those who gave up their time to make glass and interact with the public. A huge thank you to Chris Arnold, Giselle Courtney, Cas Davey, Pauline Delaney, Peter Minson, Helen Peake, Veronique Southan, Kathryn Wardill and Laurie Young – without you all we could not offer this amazing experience, and we are all looking forward to an even more spectacular event next year.
The Flame on Glass exhibition is open until Sunday 15th of September, 2013.
