Kirra Galleries opened in 1997 and for more than a decade now, have focused on building the finest commercial exhibition galleries focussing on glass, sculpture and jewellery artworks in Australia. They now have an established reputation as leaders in the Australian Contemporary Art Glass Movement.
Kirra Galleries hold a number of exhibitions each year highlighting the incredible diversity of Australian art glass as well as works by artists working in a variety of different media.
And now for something totally different with apologies for the late pre-Christmas notice
Many of you on our mailing list are familiar with the immaculate cameo glass works of Dr Tony Hanning. During a recent visit to his studio I noticed some amazing finished drawings on his walls. Given the intricate drawings required in preparation for a cameo glass piece, it comes as no surprise that Tony, in addition to his talents in creating cameo glass, is a consummate draftsman.
I have persuaded Tony to show some of his recent drawings and it is now my pleasure to invite you to a spontaneously organised pre-Christmas exhibition. Also featured will be some of his new glass pieces.
Please join us for champagne and nibbles and an opportunity to meet Tony on Thursday 5th December between 6.00pm and 8.00pm at our Gallery in Federation Square.
