Forthcoming Exhibition – YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW by Scott Chaseling
On Thursday 27 March 2014 we will be opening an exhibition by Australian Glass Artist, Scott Chaseling. This exhibition will feature a survey of important works created between 2004-2008 which have never been exhibited in Australia as well as a new body of work incorporating mixed media which mirrors and expands upon his works from the 1990s. The exhibition will be opened by Deborah Halpern, a multi-dimensional artist, sculptor, painter, potter and printmaker – notable for her prominent and popular works of public art. We hope you can join us on opening night.

Kirra Illuminating Glass Award (KIGA) in conjunction with Fed Square
We received entries from 72 artists, across Australia and New Zealand for the inaugural Kirra Illuminating Glass Award. Some artists submitted two entries and therefore the judging panel had to select 45 pieces from the 92 concepts provided – a very difficult task as all the entries were of a high standard. We would like to thank all those artists who entered the award.
The final judging is to take place on Tuesday 3 June 2014. The winner who will be announced at the opening of the exhibition (Tuesday 3 June 2014 at 6.00pm), will receive a prize of $15,000. Also there is also a People’s Choice Award, to be announced on Tuesday 17 June 2014 – the winner of which will receive a specially designed trophy.
We are looking forward to seeing you throughout the year. If you have any questions or would like further information on any of our pieces, please drop in or give us a call.
